    A High Quality Super Telephoto Lens at an Affordable Price

    This is a high quality lens at a reasonable price. Canon designed this 600mm telephoto lens to be high quality, light weight (2-lbs.), portable (collapses to a length of 7.8" when transporting), and affordable to amateur photographers. Photographs taken with this lens are clear, sharp, and with little spherical aberration. The image stabilization and auto-focus features work great (you don't need to use a tripod during daylight).

    Previously impossible results with this long telephoto - HANDHELD!

    It is amazing what this lens can do - HANDHELD! If you are thinking of going mirrorless, the availability of lenses like this is a game-changer and makes the change much more than a body upgrade. You will get the ability to shoot with inexpensive lenses like this and achieve results almost impossible previously. Bird photography on tripod? Never worked for me. Canon might be slow to innovate, but when they do it is worth paying attention

    Much better than the 800mm, so easy to move with

    Purchased an 800mm 3 months back and very disappointed with the build and performance. Rented an RF 100mm to 500mm. Very nice pictures, but comparing the the RF600mm, not worth the $2K difference. Very light, good glass and weight a non-issue.
