Synopsis
- Gorgeous photographic spreads - Written by Maria Luisa Miraldi, Director of the Tribeca Design Studio - Essential anthology of the most significant models - Perfect for sneaker fans, collectors, designers and dreamers Sneakers: The Classics is a beautifully illustrated anthology of the must-have sneaker models. In these pages, fashion, sport, culture, and history are finely stitched together. Every entry features gorgeous photographic spreads, in-depth historical context, technical sheets and aesthetic mood boards, reflecting the cultural and stylistic relevance of each shoe, including classics like the 1969 Adidas Superstars, New Balance 990s from 1982, the gorgeous 2017 Off White Air Force 1s and many more. First created as sports shoes, sneakers have accompanied many of history's greatest sporting triumphs. In tennis, basketball and skateboarding, from the Olympic Games to the concrete arenas inhabited by budding athletes throughout the world's urban spaces, sneakers have helped make the impossible a reality. For young activists in the post-war era, sneakers became emblematic of youthful independence, and their bold patterns continue to represent individuality and freedom. Written by Maria Luisa Miraldi, Director of the Tribeca Design Studio, this is a vital body of work for sneakers fans, collectors, designers and dreamers., No expression of street style and youthful independence is as iconic as the sneaker. Book was "nearly new" and "as described" in listing. The advertised price was fair and a good value. Unfortunately, the seller's shipping partner was very slow to get the book packaged and shipped. Shipping took too long, and the tracking info gave no reliable info on shipping date, time in transit or expected delivery. Seller did everything right, but their shipping partner needs improvement. I recommend this seller to other eBay buyers....... just make sure you're okay with the shipping terms.

The listing was for a hardcover version of this book; however, I received a paperback. The Seller replied quickly to my question about this issue and issued a full refund - and let me keep the book. So, a diligent Seller for sure - and well packaged and reasonable timing on shipping. Thank you for the refund, and as you suggested, I'll likely donate this volume and seek the hardcover.

Great transaction, exactly as described, packed well, and promptly shipped on August 6th. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive. Thanks, Joe
