    construction in progress

    I do a lot of collecting bits and pieces for reassembly into a finished piece of equipment, I'm about half way through the rebuilding of a 2660 pre-war crane car and this part is the key piece for this current effort. I like gathering the bits and pieces needed to restore something to its original condition. It's fun to sort of put something back together again. Some times I get a little carries away, like the top deck and mechanism of a 165 magnet crane placed on the lower mechanism of a 182 traveling crane; and getting it to travel on the wide-spaced track from Gargraves. I like the various crane cars, from pre to post ware, including the various gauges and color schemes.
