    Sometimes a deal really is a deal.

    Bought this MacBook Pro 16” halfway expecting something to be wrong with it when I it was delivered. I inspected it top to bottom, looking for evidence of some grand conspiracy. I just couldn’t find it. But I did find however is a machine that would’ve cost me almost $1000 more if purchased brand new, but that had barely 30 cycles on the battery, and that looked almost brand new. There is some evidence of prior use if you look closely at the trackpad, but otherwise I could not have distinguished this from a unit pulled from a retail box that same day. The speakers on the 16 inch MacBook Pro are something else. They saturate the area with sound, seeming to bounce it off the display to create an immersive experience.     Fast! Great display, battery, and neat Touch Bar

    Saved so much buying it used, the i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage space is more than enough for Apple's Mac OS. Programs run quickly (Photoshop, MS Office, etc.. work well), the battery lasts very long periods of time, and the screen is amazing (vibrant colors and high brightness!). The color Touch Bar is ingenious, I thought would be a gimmick, but I love it! It changes functionality based on the app you are using, making each program even easier to manipulate. This is a solid, quality device. Buying it slightly used on eBay saved me half of what it costs direct from Apple. If you are debating on the i7 processor vs the i9, the i7 delivers incredibly well, I do not regret buying this version.

    Very Good but pricey and hard to justify whne an older machine can be just as fast for a few hundred dollars.

    This Mac Book Pro is very nice and does everything it is suppose to do. However, changing your HDD for a one TB. SSD, adding 16 gb of RAM, and my little 13" 2012, Mac Book pro, did not have the touch bar and the fanciness of this unit, but was just about as fast. So we have a difficult to justify price for such 16 laptop. If you want a very good machine and money is no problem, by all mean, go for it. I did, I am just not sure it was the right decision?

    I guess I recommend it…

    Seems like a great laptop. However, I use it for video editing, and the first time I had a three-second audio mishap, I blew out one of the speakers. Distorted and nasty sounding now. I bought it used, so I had no avenue of repair. After some research, I see this is not uncommon with this laptop. Some might find having a blown speaker a minor inconvenience, but on a stupid expensive laptop, I would expect more from it than a blown speaker after one relatively minor audio mishap. I bought it used, so I had no avenue of easy repair.

    Best Laptop for the Older Customer

    I love my new MacBook Pro 16". Computer is plenty fast, but I love the beautiful display and great sound system. I use a Dell 17" and it does not hold a candle to the Mac for display, speakers, ease-of-use, but most of all portability. The Mac is far lighter and the power brick is a quarter the weight. I love to travel with the 16" Mac.
