A blind author hires an assistant to help with the writing of his literary swan song, but discovers too late that his new helper has a deadly agenda all her own. Undaunted by her occasionally gruff employer and quick to catch on, Jane seems like the perfect woman for the job until a series of suspicious incidents begin to add up. By the time Sir Paul realizes that Jane intends to kill him, she has become his sole connection to the outside world.
