    Authentic scale WWII Dive Bomber.

    This model when built as an R/C version requires modification, thus requiring critical thinking and planning. Tis type of work relaxes me and I can get away from "the world" for a while. Then you get the satisfaction of your work flying. Sorry, I don't have any photos, as I haven't built it yet. It has been over 20 years since I have built one like this, but I'm planning for retirement and collecting a few models I want to build.

    Guillow's SBD Dauntless balsa model kit.

    This is a very large balsa kit, it has many plastic detail parts. The landing gear can be assembled to retract, and the canopy can be built up to open, and close. I do not recommend it as a first balsa model, but if you build war birds, you need this model kit.

    Older kit, brittle wood!

    None of these larger kits are currently in production at Guillows so anything purchased in the secondary market will be an older kit. This looks like a kit for an experienced hobbyist with a lot of patience.
