About this product

Product Information

An Italian designer travels to Istanbul to sell a traditional Turkish steam bath left to him by a deceased aunt. Upon arrival, he becomes enthralled by the city and decides to renovate and return the bath to the public. This sudden change of heart may have something to do with the fact that he's fallen in love with a beautiful young local boy. Their romantic relationship is cut short when the designer's wife arrives in Turkey with her own agenda.

  • Italian movie

Older Italian movie about gay life in Istanbul. A beautiful love story. My heart broke at the ending but I will remember this movie for a long, long time. No nudity so if you’re looking for a typical bathhouse movie, this isn’t it.

  • A bit Slow-off track-foreign subtitled film!

This is the 2nd in what I think was a 3 parter! The first being His Secret Life! I enjoyed this movie when I was discovering myself and felt it to be pretty good. Now that I have seen many other films of its genre, I realize it is a bit drawn out, loses the main focus often and of course, subtitled! Foreign films of this nature in my opinion are usually much better with dealing with sensitive non-mainstream issues. This one however isn't one of the best..it's OK as it is ones mans story of dealing with being gay and having to hide it by going to the steam bath!

  • Greatg film

Best film I have seen in years. I read sumething about this film when it came out and put it out of my mine till I saw it on ebay. I suggest if you have the chance to see it or buy it do so.

  • Steam: The Turkish Bath
