Vintage stereo equipment is temperamental at best. This unit replaces a flywheel tuning unit from the 70's that I put almost $200 into for repairs, and then stopped working because of a possible power surge. All I wanted the new unit to do was be an fm tuner, and it is doing that very well. If I have any complaint, it is that the typical white ribbon folded dipole antenna would not work when connected to the am terminals to receive fm stations. So, I went to my electronics storage box and took out a tv antenna that can be mounted on the wall and has a coaxial connector to connect to the fm terminals, It worked great.

If you want the true satisfaction of a theatrical sound and the experience of being engulfed in the film then purchase a sony 5.1 theater system. If you're interested in just being loud, then buy a sound bar.
