  • Decent scope for the budget challenged

I needed a 4-power scope, moderately priced, but reasonably durable and reliable in field use. From years of prior experience, I tend to trust Tasco optics to give decent performance for the price range. Tasco optics seem to have few problems with the nitrogen seals, and the modest optics usually perform okay, if not brilliantly. A fixed 4-power scope has many fewer internal parts, therefore less to go wrong with it. In other words, I try to get the most performance that I can for a low cash outlay, for this particular use. These scopes compare in no way with the premium scopes, but I do not expect them to do so. Just as I expected, the latest Tasco scope performed okay right out of the box; not like my Leupolds, or Kahles, but okay for the use. I buy them, I will continue to do so as long ...

  • Sleek design and easy to sight in.

My eyesight is not as good as it used to be, at 62yo it was time to give back a little eyesight advantage. All of my shooting is within 150ft, so all I needed was a fixed 4x's scope and the Tasco 4x32 was perfect and reasonably priced and has preformed well. The only down side to this scope is that it does not come with a set of mountings rings, those have to be purchased separately and mounting rings are not inexpensive.

  • Good scope.

I remember the Tasco brand from when I was growing up. Nothing heroic here though. There are no expensive optics or exotic materials plus, what they do use has been proven over the years and it's as solid as the brand. This scope is a great value and I'd have no second thoughts about using it on a 30-30. I also doubt whether I'd ever have to take advantage of the lifetime warranty.

  • Clear and durable.

This is the third Tasco Pronghorn scope I have bought in the last 20 years. I have one on my 22 and my 22 mag. This one is going on a 22 I bought for my son. For the money you just can't beat it. They are clear, no issues with fogging up. I sighted in my 22 Mag in 2001 and have not adjusted it since. If I have the need for another low power scope. I would certainly buy another one.
