My ott light is very old and I couldn't find a replacement bulb that wasn't very overpriced. I looked for quite a while off and on and finally found one at a reasonable price. I'm back in business with my old light that shines like new!!

Wrong bulb
There may in fact be nothing wrong with the product, but everything wrong with the company that cannot give reliable guidance on which of the two possible types one needs. After very extensive research (2 hours?), both on the company website and various message boards, I decided I must need the Type A bulb, but it burnt out within minutes. And it had had to be posted from the US, so a very expensive mistake. I would have returned it, except for the cost of doing so. My recommendation is - don't buy Ottlite lamps in the first place, because 5 or 6 years later they either don't produce the bulb you need in your own country or can't enable you to identify which kind of replacement bulb is needed. There may in fact be nothing wrong with the product, but everything wrong with the company that cannot give reliable guidance on which of the two possible types one needs.
