Works great, but it's a way better deal to spend a little extra for 750 GB
I purchased this drive to back up some of my video games. It works just as it is supposed to. I have another Seagate drive that looks exactly like this, but in the 750 GB version. I bought that one at Best Buy a few years ago for about $60. The only real downside I have found to this product is that the shiny black finish scratches easily. There are little scratches coating my 750 GB version, and I have taken good care of it. While I like this drive, I should have gone with the 750 GB version again as it is just a little bit more money for over double the memory. It all depends on your own personal needs, however.I purchased this drive to back up some of my video games. It works just as it is supposed to. Great product
Worked well to store data from 2 lap-tops, both systems had not properly backed up its files. After each experienced problems, my computer tech suggested an external unit. This one was convenient and easy to access. The process in which to retrieve your files was also user-friendly.

bought as Christmas presents sent this 4 times now it does not go thru, why do you need such a long review, thought that this would be good for putting all my pictures and items to save on for a backup. just have not had time to use mine and the other on is for someone else
