Well this camera was reviewed on cnet’s video reviews with top honors, and very much lives up to my expectations, actually quite beyond my expectations in this category of Ultra-Compact pocket cameras. It pretty much blew me away. I've owned many many cameras, and most recently the Sony dsc-t50 which we used to cover many family events with our child including sports hobbys, as well as business photos that were used for internet marketing of real estate, and marketing of events/business conference setups. The dsc-t50 always worked for these purposes very very well, now enter the dsc-w350, smaller, lighter, better resolution and features, excellent video at 30 frames per second, including the ability to zoom in/zoom out while shooting video which not all units in this category can do. This camera can also shoot High Definition HD Video Resolution 720p, which is just amazing in this size and category. You cannot go wrong with this camera. The Easy setting is great for my wife, just point and shoot, for me I like having the option of setting the exposure / focus settings depending on the situation. The 28mm wide angle lens allows for fun “self and friends” photos when you hold the camera yourself, and the image stabilization is top shelf. This was cnet’s top pick for the Nov. 2010 digital cameras in the ultra-compact category. There are a couple of other digital camera review sites that have reviewed this camera, and one of the comparison charts that was important to me was specific to shutter lag, or shutter delay, comparing this camera and many many others. Shutter lag is the time it takes the camera to actually take the photo after you've pressed the shutter button, non-flash photos, and this camera is ultra-fast, ranked 13 with .25 seconds, which for me this is virtually no delay at all. When we’re taking pictures of skiing/snowboard tricks or soccer this works unbelievably well. The dsc-w350 was very close to the top unit in this particular comparison chart, coming close to the Sony DSC-tx10 with .15 second delay. For me, having had a touch screen camera like the dsc-t50 I believe getting around the options is faster and more intuitive without the touch feature, so the expense of jumping to the dsc-tx10 which features touch screen didn’t make sense for me. I will give this camera top marks in all respects in it’s ultra-compact or sub-compact categories for what it’s set out to do, which is a point and shoot camera with nearly beyond excellent photos. 10/2012 BRIEF UPDATE 1 year and 2 months - London, Miami, Minneapolis, N.Y., SoCal, and everywhere in between still amazing ! I bought this camera for regular daily use. I've always wanted a decent camera, so after I saw my sister with this camera I wanted it too. I got it for around 98 dollars and I think it's completely worth it. The picture quality is great. I don't know much about cameras nowadays, but I do know that this is a pretty good camera for on the go. It's really light weight so you don't really have to lug it around. Just put it in your pocket and there you go. It's a great camera for ordinary use.
We bought that product to replace a broken one, same thing. It isn't a recent one but It's an awesome camera for the price. Only one thing the camera is a bit slow when the stabilizer picture is on.

I love this little thing. For a little camera it put on quite a show. It had a nice bright flash, clear crisp photos and it even has a built in editing mode. What blew me away was the easy panoramic mode. It also has a demo function as well. I purchased it used and I feel for what I paid it was more then worth the price.
