The Seagate STAA500100 is an ultra-portable, unpowered Seagate external hard drive hard drive that comes packed with features. The Seagate STAA500100 has a chic, black finish and has a capacity of 500 GB. The plug-and-play feature allows this Seagate 500 GB GoFlex hard drive to be used straight from the box and files can be interchangeably accessed on PCs and Macs without reformatting. The USB2.0 interface allows this Seagate external hard drive to achieve fast external transfer speeds up to 480 Mb/s. The Seagate STAA500100 is preloaded with software that performs automatic backups and encrypts them for maximum security. Additionally, this Seagate 500 GB Go flex hard drive is fully compatible with other Seagate GoFlex storage systems for maximum integration.

    Awesome Product, Great value and very portable!

    Have had very good luck with this item i use it to store Movies, Music, and Pictures. It streams the movies and music to my PC and Blueray Player very well. Paid a decent price compared to the new price at retails stores. Over all i would say if 500 gb is enough room for your needs and you want something ready to go on a moments notice that does not require it's own power adapter then this might work well for you it does for me, i have loaded movie after movie and a ton of music and pictures and there is still plenty of room to spare, it has been a very usefull investment for me.

    sleek, stylish and works great!

    I wanted something to store my media files...music and movies. So I went with this drive because of the name brand...and true to the brand it performs flawlessly. It has been bashed around a bit and it still works great. It connected with no problems. Nothing negative to say about it.

    Excellent product

    Very good product and well worth the money. Moved all of my valuable documents and music to the Seagate and am able to work right from the external harddrive. Almost like having another computer to work with and store info on.
