Pretty amazing value
I'll get the bad out of the way first. The fan is loud (~34 db). There's no vertical lens shift, so positioning it on a fixed screen can present a challenge. To work with my setup, it was difficult to find a aesthetically pleasing way to mount it about 7 inches from the floor . The nature of an ultra short throw (UST) projector means that ambient light rejecting (ALR) screens on the market just don't work well with it. There are special lentricular screens made for this sort of projector, but they cost far more than the projectors do (seriously, they're like $1,200+). They are made to reject light from every direction but below (or above, if you mount the screen upside-down). But all that said, even without these special screens, the image quality is amazing. The projector is literally 10 inches from the wall and I've got a clear 120" diagonal picture out of it. The brightness from the projector is great. The contrast is not bad at all - better with those special screens I'm sure, above average in a room where you can control ambient light. The flexibility this sort of projector provides you makes me wonder why anyone in their right mind would buy a conventional television for a home theater setup. There's keystone and corner correction. I wasn't able to get the fast input setting to work after doing corner correction unfortunately (why does this always reset after adjustment?) but the latency is still 'okay' enough to play timing sensitive games without issue. The 3D is pretty great too. I found it was about the same quality as my passive 3d set, albeit there's no comparison watching 3d on a 65" screen versus a 120" screen. I'd buy it again. If you're on the fence, you could do much, much worse.
