Received and was pleasantly surprised to see they looked like brand new. I have used Sony products in the past which run around $100 but seen these where at a great price so decided to try them. I use mainly for TV listening so was hoping these would work well for that application. I can say the sound quality of Sennheiser vs my Sony set Sennheiser wins. As for comfort these do feel a bit more heavy or clunker then my Sony but within reason but not light. They were easy to set up as my TV has an 1/8'' audio output so it was just a plug and play pretty much. Came with rechargeable AA's that I charged overnight and appear to hold about 8hr charge well. All in all at the price point I would recommend these to anyone looking for a higher end set that wont brake the bank.

The headphones are comfortable and fairly light weight but the sound is just fair. Even though I've tried all the settings, they seem to have an slight echo effect. I've had no problems getting used to the button layout on the right earphone. They are okay but not as good as I had hoped for.

I bought these headsets to replace a pair of Sennheiser RS120's. The RS175's are better in every way. They feel better, have a nicer design, have more functions and are much easier to adjust - overall much better than the cheaper model. The cushions on the RS175 are around the ear (vs the RS120 - on the ear) and I've work them for hours gaming w/o any complaints. Another nice feature by comparison is that when you take a break the RS120's would always "Time Out" and I'd get blasted with "Static"...the RS175's don't do that, they just stay silent - nice. Another better design feature for the extra cost is that the volume control is more accurate and easier to control. PLUS there is no "TUNING" the RS175 to the frequency of the base charger - it is always on frequency with the charging base. By comparison, the RS120 would tune off the frequency nearly every time I put the headsets on my neck or head when doing something else - so yea, excellent feature. And most important the sound is clear and more robust on the RS175's plus they have a bass and surround sound features which both work well. The surround sound does NOT work with gaming since it creates a field of sound that doesn't let you distinguish where someone is walking in the game...but it's easily disabled. That said the bass and surround work great for watching TV, a much richer sound than the RS120. All all around these are much better headsets for watching TV and gaming (although they do not have a mic). Other than that, I would recommend their build quality, looks, features and sound...no negatives. Read full review

The Sennheiser 175 Wireless headphone set works well and is a quality product. I have hearing loss and was looking for a wireless headset so I could hear my TV without turning up the volume really loud. I hooked mine up to my Samsung TV and Denon receiver using a Toslink Digital Optical Audio 1x3 splitter and Toslink Digital cables. I hooked it up like this so my wife and I can watch the same TV program with the normal TV audio for her and so I can hear my TV with the headphones. The connectivity and sound of this unit is crystal clear everywhere in my 1200 sf home and I like how the headset batteries recharge while placed on the transmitter base after using them. The only negative is the headset ear pad cushion plastic tears off easily but that doesn't bother me at all as the ear pad cushions are replaceable.Read full review

The sound is crystal-clear, with none of the analog hiss of my older Sennheiser wireless headphones (RS-130). The two-level surround sound is also pretty impressive, especially with action movies! My two complaints - it uses the same frequency as the microwave, so if I'm in the kitchen and someone turns it on, I lose signal, and unlike the analog ones, it's not as easy to switch between base stations (we have different bases plugged into three different TVs in our house). Despite the downsides, the sound quality is truly fantastic, and the overall build is more solid than the older ones. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade on the whole - I'm not looking back!

Product has simple basic functions. Setup was easy, product quality is good Headset is well built and the remote range is very good in open space. But you will loose the signal when you move between rooms. Overall this is a very good product with great sound. Surround sound in a headset is an added benefit.

These RS 175 headphones were super easy to set up and after the long initial charge are working perfectly. I am using them in the TV room with our LG OLED TV provided with an optical output. The phones have a clear, crisp sound that can be modified with the bass setting and the surround sound setting. I find that some programs sound better with this or that setting so I am not seeing this as a set it and forget it piece of audio equipment. Your mileage may vary. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear but after a couple of hours I do find myself adjusting them to give my head or ears a different experience.

I returned it because it got sound hiccups whenever I turned my head. I made a mistake thinking I could use it with a cord directly to the headphone. There are no connectors on it, thus limiting the use to only with the transmitter. If it had 3.5 port, you could take it on rides with you. Because it doesn't have it, you cant. And the good: the sound is amazing on these. I used it to stream music from my phone for an hour. I found the sound to be as good as my wired beloved A data over ear headphones. If you need a headphones for in house only use, I recommend this model. But make sure yours doesnt have sudden signal loss.

I owned an old unit and I thought they were great but this unit is much better. This new unit has a surround sound feature that sounds great. I would recommend these headphones to any one.

I've tried many headsets and this became my first choice because the controls are easier to find while you're laying in bed and it's more comfortable and not as tight and other brands that make your ears sweat after a while. The sound was a little better on the Sony but overall this was the winner.
