Half way dissappointed
These Phones are very nice, the only down side only one phone had a battery and I'm having a hard time finding batteries for the others . Other than that they are a great phone look nice easy to use.

Many issues with this refurbished uniden phone system
The eBay description indicated an answering machine but this model doesn’t have one. On one of the handsets the CID does not work, two of the handsets wouldn’t register to an existing identical main base, and the sound quality is terrible if you are not close to the main base.

Uniden DECT1580-3 1.9 GHz Single Line Cordless Phone
The phone was packaged well and came with all instructions which were in fact veru user friendly, not complicated at all, very easy to set up. The phone features are great and have all the bells and whistles. The sound quality is good to very good and fairly clear within 150 feet away from the receiver after that it starts to braek up. I have a two story home and while inside any room I had very clear reception without any dead spots. Overall for the price, these are very good phones. BAD Uniden Customer Service
I purchased a Uniden cordless Phone Model DECT1580-3 from Target on 7 March 2010. The battery in one of the phones stopped working a little over 3 months later. Target’s return policy is only for 90 days, so I call Uniden parts department on 12 July 2010. I called Uniden They told me to send an e-mail with a scanned copy of the receipt, the model type I purchased, the date purchased, the battery type, my name, address and phone number, and that a replacement battery would be sent to me under warranty. I did all of this on 12 July 2010 and sent them an e-mail at replacements@uniden.com. As of 23 July 2010 nothing had happened so far, no e-mails, no phone calls, nothing sent in the mail. So I decided to try a different route, I went to the Uniden web site and filled out an on line ... I purchased a Uniden cordless Phone Model DECT1580-3 from Target on 7 March 2010. E-mails Submitted After 4:30PM CST Friday July 2nd Till Monday May Have A Longer Response Time.” Notice how they can’t even update there auto reply, still talking about the 4th of July holiday on the 23rd of July. Then on 26 July 2010 I received an e-mail saying contact the parts department. Saying “This would be a question that would be best answered by our Parts Department. The Parts Department can be reached at 1-800-554-3988 M-F, 8am-5pm CST.” This was the same place I started at, I had gone in a complete circle. At this point I had enough of Uniden. I sent e-mails to what address I could find including the company president. No answers ever came and I went and purchased my own battery. I strongly suggest you do not by a Uniden product of any type as there customer care has a rating of zero in my opinion.

I've been very happy with these phones so far. They are compact and the batteries seem to hold up well. I used one for a nearly one hour conversation a room away from the main base without even moving the battery charge indicator, a feature I also particularly like. I also like being able to transfer all phone directory entries to the other handsets and the audible message alert setting. The range seems very good and the directions were fairly clear and the set up fairly easy. The only "con" I can forsee so far is the smaller size which might make it possibly more difficult for some to balance on the shoulder for hands free use. Many however would probably consider the size a "pro". All in all I would consider this a good economical unit, and a good value for the money. I would definately ...
