About this product

Product Information

Fulfill your photography dream by enhancing the quality of your camera's functional capabilities with the powerful Canon EF L lens. This Canon EF 20-35mm lens is a wide angle zoom lens. Compatible with a variety of Canon models, this lens features excellent design attributes, such as its 20mm to 35mm focal length that will minimize picture blurring even in sensitive photography environments. It is built of 12 groups containing 15 elements. There is a ground aspheric element in front and floating elements optimize the image clarity. All zoom and focus functions are internal, with no external movement during operation. In the barrel, the front and rear groups pump in and out. The range of focal lengths on this lens is covered with a scale of four notches. These are marked 35mm, 28mm, 24mm, and 20mm. The extension tubes provide close-ups of up to 0.66x at 20mm and up to 0.92x at 35mm. It offers a close focus of 1.6 feet from the image plane and a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:11.11.To ensure photo clarity and sharpness, the f/2 lens has a filter diameter of 72mm and f/2.8L to f/32 aperture. The Canon EF 20-35mm lens has a USM, which stands for Ultra Sonic Motor. It's a small motor that Canon builds into the camera body, allowing it to autofocus quicker than standard model cameras. The diaphragm on these Canon lenses has six blades and stops down to f/22. The size of the lens is 3.1 inches in diameter by 3.5 inches in length. This does not change when the unit is focused or zoomed. It weighs slightly over 1 pound and has a stationary metal 72mm filter thread.Exploit the additional performance enhancements of this f/2 lens and use them to tune up your photography skills. These enhancements include an amazing optical construction that features groups of aspherical elements to reflect a floating design, which in turn ensures enhanced close focus performance. It features a focusing scale, with the ring turning from the nearest focal distance to infinity in approximately 130 degrees. The metal zoom ring on these Canon 20-35mm lenses operates with the flick of a finger. In terms of image quality, sharpness from this Canon f/2 20-35mm zoom lens is top-notch. Images are free of flare and ghosts. This EF mount lens will enable you to diversify your photography endeavors because it features multiple aspect views. These offer you the chance to take a variety of orientation frames shots. The diagonal angle of view available with these lenses is 94 degrees to 63 degrees. It has a vertical angle of 62 degrees to 38 degrees, and the horizontal angle is 84 degrees to 54 degrees. The Canon EF f/2 lenses work ideally on the Canon 7D, Canon 5D Mark II, and Canon EOS 620 cameras. It is compatible with every Canon EOS, DSLR, and autofocus camera. Used as full-frame lenses, these Canon zoom lenses also work on every Canon SLR camera. Accessories that come with the unit include a plastic bayonet, a 72mm non-ultrasonic lens cap, and a hard cylindrical case.

The lens arrived in excellent condition. Very well packaged and exactly as it appeared in the description. I highly recommend the seller. The only problem is the rates that DHL charges buyers. They are too high, much higher than FedEx or Japan Post. I had to pay 50% of the purchase value. Thank you.

Condition was exactly as described, the camera arrived in perfect condition with obvious care given to packing. I ordered on 1/29 and the package arrived on 2/2...from Japan, no less! Seller was responsive to my inquiries about signature requirements. All in all, a 100% positive experience. Would order from them again!

What a great seller! The lens is exactly as described--actually, better than described. His communication is fantastic, his packing is top notch and his shipping is lightning fast all the way here to the US from Japan. Highly recommended. If you're in the US, don't worry about buying from Japan from this seller, he's honest and reliable.

    Fills an important niche

Fast ultra-wide zooms are really expensive. This one ain't. It's built like a tank and my copy is silky smooth. The focal range of this lens is perfect for candids & street photography without much distortion and it's fast. It's useful for landscapes but sometimes I want to go wider than 20mm and so I also bought the Rokinon 16mm f2.8. If you want one lens to do everything, you have to spend a lot more. The 17-40 f4 and 17-35 f2.8 are more affordable replacements but the 17-35 isn't as sharp (I've heard) and the f4 isn't as fast, forcing you to use higher ISOs. A cheaper option is the 20-35 f3.5-4.5 USM which I also have, and it is comparably sharp but not as fast. That's its only downfall. If you don't need f2.8, get the USM version. It's fantastic for the prices they're going for in ...

  • Exceptional lens for the current cost--get a good copy though!

The Canon EF 20-35mm f/2.8L USM is still an excellent lens even though copies are now 20 years old and older. If you can find a good copy, you're golden. Mine is in exceptional shape cosmetically and the glass performs solidly--no fungus or dust, it's obvious the lens was cared for. There does appear to be something causing a very tiny light refraction when you look inside the lens in the light though. One thing I've noticed with the lens is that it doesn't care for high ISO on my Canon 6D. Shooting hand held in low light, even at High ISO with enough shutter speed yields less than exceptional results from my perspective. The lens is very unforgiving on a full frame camera with imperfect technique. Also, wide open the corners are a bit softer than I would expect ...

  • Great Old "L" Lens with Lot of Value

Canon EF 20-35mm f/2.8 L is old Canon "L" lens for all Canon EOS cameras cropped or full frame. This is old version of 16-35mm f/2.8 L lens. You get very sharp images from this lens and colors are lovely with good contrast. Only question is whether 20mm is wide enough for you which is plenty wide for me on my 6D. I use this lens when I want lot of background with my subject. I mostly shoot people so this works very well for me, but many people also use 24-70mm 2.8. So you only gain 4mm wider compared to 8mm on a 16mm-35mm lens. As for price, I got it for around $200 so it was a no brainier for me. I prefer this lens over 35mm f2 lens and don't want to pay 3-4 times the cost for a lens that I would use only in certain situations. Cost will vary depending on the condition of the lens. My ...

  • Remarkable condition

It is great, the 20-35 is very very new. The condition is just remarkable. The only con is that it has noisy autofocus. It’s not quiet. Other than that, lens is perfect and it works. Just wish it was more clearly described about the autofocus noise.
