This unit works better than expected, deserving at least 7 stars. I actually saw a lightning strike several miles away along my power grid and my TV was shut down at the same instant. The strike was far enough away that I didn't even hear the thunder. That is incredible sensitivity! Who would actually believe that transients could travel so far with such a significant effect? Thank goodness it didn't fry any components! After reset, the TV and other electronics fired up and worked perfectly. Since that experience, I have ordered more surge protectors to protect other electronic devices that were probably not sufficiently protected. I feel more secure in operating my TV in any conditions, but as a Ham Radio Operator, I am also very confident that my radio communication equipment will be constantly protected to ensure reliable operation through adverse conditions affecting the power grid. A little equipment shutdown to protect from a spike is a very minor inconvenience compared to replacing some fried electronics! Buy one to protect your investment. These surge protectors are worth every penny. I ordered 2 of them and once I got them I just couldn't wait to mount them on the wall. They are very sturdy and built well, They have plenty of space in between the outlets, and 3 phone ports, 2 Ethernets, and 2 Gold coaxial ports as well. I have been using these units for a small business that I own for about 3 months now, and they work very well. Honestly I can't think of one thing that I dislike regarding these units!
