This fan control remote receiver fits up under the fan where it attaches to the electric box in the ceiling. The original unit died slowly, painfully, over a long period of time until nothing worked. Replacing the old one with this new one restored this vintage style Hunter fan to it's original glory. So happy there is a store like Fans Unlimited, and that they sell online. Note: repairing a ceiling fan is not a beginner project. If you have electrical experience and like to do this sort of thing, this unit may be for you. If not, hire a professional electrician or appliance repair expert. Note to experts/professionals: this is an exact replacement and brand new.
