Tranformers Live!!
My whole family and especially love this series of the Transformers cartoons. The color is vivid and the sound is perfect. It is very strange that Optimus Prime has the same voice as the recent movies. I like the way the story continues in each episode and we enjoy them especially on long rides in the car. I was happy to be able show my kids the history of this great franchise and share my stories of my childhood while seeing these cartoons on Saturday mornings. This is a great get-away from the current cartoons that are on the popular cable channels these days and this series brings back the simplicity of the yester-years when TV was great!My whole family and especially love this series of the Transformers cartoons. Transformers G1 Season Two
I don't think Season Two is really anybody's favorite season, even though it definitely contains many fan favorite episodes. The middle child of three seasons (I won't count the series capping mini-series "Rebirth"), it lacks the Marvel-comic-like cohesiveness of One, which is basically a 16-episode arc. Nor does it have the darker sci-fi edge or flawed characters of Three. Nope, I guess the best way to describe Two is as a "mixed bag". The animation and writing quality range from stellar to mediocre; the cast of characters nearly doubles, sometimes without explanation. The latter favors more one-shots then multi-parters, and along with a faster pace and heavier action content, you won't see a lot of character development. I think fans with a rigid, two-dimensional concept of Optimus ... I don't think Season Two is really anybody's favorite season, even though it definitely contains many fan favorite episodes. He's more of your standard super-hero type here. However, I still strongly recommend Season Two, as much as One and Three. All of Generation 1 was about trying new things, blending cultures and genres in different ways in order to build up a mythos and tell a story. Infact, I believe the strongest point for Two is the very range of things it tries to do. It may be a mixed bag, but at about 50 episodes, it's a pretty big one, too. It was also still very new, and full of possibilies, like the kids watching at home.

Season 2, Episode 1: Autobot Spike Season 2, Episode 2: The Immobilizer Season 2, Episode 3: Dinobot Island I Original Air Date—25 September 1985 Powerglide and Bumblebee discover a mysterious island, inhabited with pre-historic wildlife. At Autobots' headquarters, Wheeljack tries to train Grimlock, but the other Dinobots go berserk and nearly destroy the whole place. Optimus Prime decrees the Dinobots are to be banished to the strange island, where they will stay till they learn to control their powers, and they obey. Unfortunately, Laserbeak follow the Dinobots on their way, and discovers that the island contains massive energy sources: active volcanoes, oil pools and steaming geysers. When Megatron learns what Laserbeak discovered, the Decepticons fly to the island, and begin draining ... Unknown to the Decepticons (not that they would care), as a result of their deeds, time warps appear in various places around the world - from which emerge unwelcome visitors from the past, spreading violence and destruction. The Autobots are busy fixing the damage to the time-flow. Chip Chase finds out that the cause of all troubles is in Dinobot island, and the Autobots hurry there in order to stop the Decepticons, and great battle occurs. When it seems the Decepticons have the upper hand, unpleasant surprise awaits Megatron, for he was overconfident thinking that the Dinobots were destroyed. Once Megatron installs the Heart inside his chest, he gains extraordinary powers, enabling him to defeat many Autobots by himself. Perceptor comes with radical plan: by using the trans-mat reduction beam, he, Bumblebee and Brawn are minimized to microscopic size, and sneak into Megatron's body in order to disconnect the Heart - while Megatron is on his way to the Autobots' base. Will the Microbots reach their target in time before Megatron destroys their friends? Transformers as you remember it.
The first half of the second season of Transformers takes off right where the first season ended. Classic TF episodes in their original aired format that for anyone who saw these on television will feel a warmth of nostalga. New characters, more doomsday plots and more of the great action that you loved as a child. If you love Transformers try to get all the Rhino video dvd sets, they are everything you could want in an 80s cartoon and more.The first half of the second season of Transformers takes off right where the first season ended.
