    Backed Up and No Fear of Data Loss

    As described. Size is small enough to pocket. WD has good (not great) technical support and warranty service if you ever have to use it. My other WD drive products are working well after a few years. This drive has a fast transfer speed on MacBook Pro 2012 I7. Easy to setup secure app using apple keychain. Also works well on Windows 10 laptop I5. Quiet. No heat. Just works well as intended. Easy to optimize and compact drive for maximum efficiency. Slightly more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. Tip: buy 50% more space than you absolutely need. These drives (not just WD) start to degrade gradually in performance once you pass that capacity.

    Good reliable media storage.

    Good reliable storage as prices continue to come down. I've had other brands of USB drives fail over time, like Toshiba. I keep several units on rotation stored at several off-site locations for personal family media. For Windows users, I've used Microsoft SyncToy to keep data synced across devices. SyncToy in and of itself isn't perfect, but I haven't accidentally sync-wiped files from drive to drive my mistake like some other sync tools, so fairly user-friendly. I digress. :) 2018-08-29.

    Slim, large capacity, and affordable!

    Another great hard drive from western digital I have never had a bad experience with any of their products and I feel that this X ternal hard drive will last a lifetime as long as I take care of it and don’t throw it into a wall I guess lol very satisfied with the size as well as the speed with usb 3.0 it’s hard to imagine 2000 gigabytes of data being able to fit into something so small, thanks wd for being awesome and making good affordable products that are top of the line for the price.

    MAC or PC, It's Still A Drive

    It doesn't really matter what type of computer you have, A drive is a drive. All that changes is the formatting of the disk, A "Windows" drive comes formatted with NTFS and some programs to run on it. A MAC drive has EFI some programs to run on it. Beware that if you want to use a MAC drive on Windows, you will first have to remove the EFI partition. Search for "EFI Delete System Partition" and there are perhaps 5 steps to go through, In any case the drive is the same, so look for the best price.
