One of the ultimate cheeseball 1960's sci fi. Got tired of waiting for the rare TCM showings. Very happy it's available and at a decent price.

A good buy
If you like cheesy old movies prior CGI with guys in rubber monster suits you'll like the movie. Its got actors with stiff performances fun that can't be taking too seriously an cheap effects of those old toy models meant to be realistic which clearly they are not. Regretfully there are no extra features on the DVD even though its a so-called enhanced edition [I guess for clearer picture which is fine but don't expect perfection]. It doesn't even have a commentary or subtitle in the section in the menu reminding me of those old VHS tapes instead of a DVD. I decide to get the DVD anyway cause its a classic with despite its obvious nonsense that can't be taking too seriously is still fun to watch. The Green Slime is an excellent movie with a great plot and storyline. The acting was very strong. The movie kept its' audience in suspense until the very end.

This is the best release this film will probably ever get.
The Green Slime has been conspicuously absent from any VHS or DVD release since the beginning of the home video revolution. The Warner Archive has finally released a MOD (made on demand) DVD of this sought after Japanese/American co-production. While it doesn't seem to have been remastered, the print used is clean and colorful. Best of all, The Green Slime can now be seen in anamorphic widescreen. Though pricey, this is probably the best that this film will ever look. If your tastes lean towards the cheesy, purchasing this disc is your opportunity to view this 60's favorite in it's best possible form. Don't wait for a Blu-Ray release.
