Good practice or small room amp
Still working with the modeling feature, easy to understand but hard to figure its worth. The amp has decent loudness for its size, it's well finished and all the switches are clearly labeled. I'm glad to have it, perfectly adequate for practice and small room use. Not too heavy or large. This amp has terrible sound, the back was missing on it and the tone quality is pathetic. i used it on my Yamaha keyboard in a home room and it sounds so bad I just unplugged it. I would have sent it back for a refund but it costs too much for shipping so I just blew my money away. I do not recommend this product at all.

Great value starter/portable amp
Depending on price can be a great value. I have about $40 into it and it's much better than the generic $40-60 beginner amps I was planning to get. I'm just picking guitar back up after 10 years and learning and wanted something simple. Easy to figure out settings. It has its limitations but you really shouldn't need much else to start out with or even just to have on the side for portability. Super light and handle makes it easy to carry around. My only big gripe is it picks up ANY electrical interference pretty bad so try to keep it on its own.Depending on price can be a great value. Great practice amp for the price range.
Can be LOUD! Very good signal to noise ratio in the amp, i.e., no noise. Distortion range is wide, from not there to overwhelming. Two inputs, instrument and "CD" line-in. The line-in bypasses the pre-amp, effects, and volume controls, so it can be (must be) controlled independently of the instrument, by the source of the line-in signal. Emulates 3 kinds of amp, "tweed" which is weak flat response, "British" which is strong somewhat overdriven speaker sound, and "Calif" which is very strong overdriven pre-amp and speakers. A 'drive' control lets you dial in the amount of those effects. Offers 3 'modes', "clean", "hi gain" and "hot", which give increasing amounts of 'drive'. And there are 3 'speaker' options, "flat", "U.K.", and "U.S.", which don't seem to change much to my ears. Also has ... Can be LOUD! Very good signal to noise ratio in the amp, i.e., no noise. Has headphone output and master volume (which does not affect line-in). The speaker itself is satisfyingly responsive across the audio range. But if you take it to a big jam or gig, you'll need to mike it into the stage system, or DI the headphone output. Two downsides only. It would be nicer if it had a reverb effect. And it does have a noticeable 60 hz hum when it's first switched on and which goes away as the amp warms up. This hum does NOT run through the amplifier, but seems to be a physical vibration from the power supply. No matter how much volume you give the audio, the hum is not amplified and remains inaudible. All in all, I'm happy with it for my purpose which is to practice at home and not spend a lot of money.

This is a nice small amp, good for practice in your own room. This is only 15 watts with an 8" speaker, but it is loud enough to do the job. It has 3 amp model simulators, and 3 speaker simulators. It also has three "modes" which are like a 3-way Overdrive switch.... Clean, High Gain, and "Hot" (insane). This does not have a Reverb or anything like that. It does have a "Gain" knob and a "Master" volume. Also 3-band (knob) EQ and a CD input. These amps only cost $60 New at Musicians' Friend with Free Shipping...
