Made for T-Mobile, the dark slate Dart is a great device to handle your mobile calls and more. The QVGA 320 by 240 pixel screen resolution has an 8-bit color display. This display outputs clear images whether they are pictures or movies on a sharp LCD screen. This 3.1-inch display rotates, so you can view content in landscape or portrait orientation. This full touchscreen has both the pinch and double-tap to zoom features. The front of the device also has capacitive buttons for switching screens and returning to your dashboard. The SGH-T499 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it also supports Bluetooth for a wireless connection. 160 MB of internal memory is augmented by the 2 GB microSD that comes with this Samsung Dart. Take great pictures with the 3.2-megapixel, rear-facing camera. Then you can use the SD card or micro USB port to transfer the images to other devices. The micro USB port is also used for charging the 1,200 mAh lithium-ion battery. Enjoy 8 hours of talk time or 288 hours of standby time when you're not using your Samsung device.In terms of location tracking, your Samsung will give you robust GPS capabilities. Use the Geo-Tagging feature on the camera to pinpoint the exact location a photograph is taken. You can then embed that information in the photo file that comes standard on these phones. Other features include spot metering, smile detection, and white balance controls. With the panoramic feature take multiple photos of a landscape and let the camera merge them into one spectacular image. When you have downtime, play games on the Android Froyo 2.2 operating system with 600mHz of processing speed. The Dart supports Flash, so you can watch an embedded video while web browsing. The browser supports multiple window views for multi-tasking. YouTube, Google Voice Search, Gmail, and Google Music are among the apps that come preinstalled.
