    Loads and plays discs quickly but...

    At its introduction this unit was described at being the fastest at loading discs which is what attracted me to purchase this model. The disc loading speed, however, does NOT translate to web applications. Using Panasonic's "Vieracast" I was indeed able to VIEW my Amazon watchlist and play without issue. But browsing for new content is a nightmare. With each item view the lag time got slower and slower to almost totally freezing. I do not have this issue with my newer Sony blu-ray player so I can only suspect that its either the player itself or the Vieracast software. I am using a wired ethernet connection on a gigabit network which should be faster than my Sony's wireless connection. Otherwise, this is a great unit. I've connected it to my AV receiver using HDMI and the optical audio ...

    The picture quality given by the Panasonic 3d blu ray player is truly great

    The Panasonic 210 is the best 3d blu ray player that you can buy! The excellent cinema film like quality has a fidelity to the picture at theaters that is truly awesome!!! The audio is just as fantastic. I love the dark detailer that can cive good blacks to a picture. Also, the chroma processer feature really smooths out the color pixels adding a film like quality to the pictue. the Panasonic 210 renders pictures in deep color 1080p which along with the 24 frame processing, provides a really colorful picture that is as the director intended the picture to look like. In addition the blu ray player has an additional menu that allows for color, contrast, sharpness and tint to be adjusted at the source.     Excellent Wi-Fi HD Netflix Streaming ......

    Excellent NetFlix Wireless Streaming - this is the reason I purchased this item. Did a little research before and bought the DMP-BDT210 from other good reviews. Streams Netflix HD videos on my 2.4Ghz g network with no problems at all. It did need the firmware update to get Netflix to work but I think this is due to changes Netflix makes and Panasonic's fix. Wi-Fi setup was easy, firmware update even easier. On screen keyboard for setup/title searching a little clunky to use but you get used to it, not sure how other manufacturers do theirs. (If planning on using Wi-Fi make sure to get it built in as this model has and not one that is Wi-Fi "ready". This means you need to buy an additional special USB adapter around $70.)

    A must buy for the movie enthusiast!!

    This is my third blu-ray player and my first from Panasonic. My other two machines, one is a Playstation 3 and the other a Sony Blu-ray player. The Playstation 3 is the benchmark for me when it comes to blu-ray. There is no other that matches its capabilities but with this player it comes close. This unit gives you built in WIFI to use netflix or other providers online services, a 4 out of 5 star menu system, and the picture resolution is exceptional. What else do you need from a blu ray player? The only thing it can't do is play PS3 games. An excellent buy for the money and it has the touch to open feature that makes it so easy to load a disc! A must buy for the movie enthusiast!
