This stuff is the bomb!
This is my go to product to locate oil leaks around the engine, transmission, or power steering system. Add it to the suspected system that has the leak after you clean it very well. I use brake parts cleaner, then blow it off with compressed air. It is advertised to work in the fuel system also, but I have never used it there. This product will mix with and oil based lubricant. Just make sure you mark the system so howto give the next mechanic or oil change shop that it has dye in it, otherwise people freak when they drain or work around the system that you added the dye to. When mixed with the engine oil, or Transmission fluid, it will look like the system has water in it. One ounce will dye the all the oil in a 7 quart oil system.
