Got it for a back up printer... the Epson 1430's are getting harder to find... price has went from $ 350.00 new to a round $2,000.00 in just 4 years. $300.00 used is now what one would call a deal. I think the Epson's 1430 printer that can print sizes up to 13 x 19 is a great work horse printers...

I had an earlier version of an Artisan printer and did not research the features of this one before buying it. I missed that it is not an all in one so has no scan capability. It does an excellent job printing but is no speed demon and lacks other features. On the other hand, it does handle ledger size paper which is a good benefit. Overall, I am glad it is in my home but it is used far less than I thought it would be.
I wondered if any printer could live up to the quality of the Stylus 1400 I had for 6 years. But I a, totally satisfied. I do graphic art work and the print quality is right up to my standards. For the price....this is an amazing bargain!
