    Does not work

    Purchased this phone and it DOES NOT work properly as stated. When typing, certain letters do not work and then the phone types it's own stuff. Phone freezes every few seconds. Do not buy

    Great Value for the money. My pick for a mid level android OS phone.

    LG Optimus runs android operating system and performs functions I want. Easy to enable WiFi to reduce use of data service, which turns off automatically when I leave the area. 3.2 megapixel camera has good, not great resolution, but easily focuses. Not much internal memory, but for the price, I don't mind getting micro SD chip. Media player is easy to use and enables me to add songs to playlist enabling me to get rid of alternate MP3 player. I like to listen to radio, so the combination is what I want. On the downside, Some of the Android apps lock up and must be forced to quit. These also lock up the phone, which must be shut down and rarely the battery taken out. Touch screen is resposive most of the time, but sometimes a little slow, never to the point of being a big hassle.

    An amazing value if you are looking for a cheap smart phone!

    As my first smart phone, I would say this was a great choice! I did some research, and this phone is the best bang for the buck in 3G smart phones hands down. To get a used Android 2.2 with WiFi for $40 is pretty amazing - I was really just looking to upgrade to a basic, used qwerty phone, but for $20 more how could I go wrong? My T-Mobile plan did go up by $10 a month to get a data add-on that actually works, but that's ok. I love having the barcode scanner app for buying stuff to sell on ebay - this phone will pay for itself!

    Great Purchase!!!

    I recently upgraded to an Lg Optimus T P509 Burgundy and I am in love with it! This is my first smart phone and so far, I have no complaints. The only thing that did concern me was the tiny keys on the keypad, however, there is away to make the keys slightly bigger. To get to this function go to messaging, click on an existing message or a new message, and hold down the message box, which reads “type to compose”. The option will appear, much like the widget options appear when you hold your finger down on the main screens. Then, just change your input method from “swype” to “android keyboard”. After changing the keyboard, I am 100% happy with my purchase! Shortly after I purchased this phone, I bought my dad one and he loves the phone too. I highly recommend it to anyone interested ...

    Loving my first smartphone!!!

    I love this phone. I had a Nokia music express for about 2 years and decided to upgrade to my first smartphone. This phone is pretty easy to use for anyone who's not smartphone savvy, although it still has some cool features and aps. Pretty light weight and manageable. The only bad things to say are that the phone takes a while to reveal it's receiving a call or text in the first few hours of being set up; the second would be that it doesn't come with a software disc so you have to go on the LG website to download it if you want to upload music and videos.
