    Great home studio foundation!

    The Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 is an excellent unit with exactly the features I need for my home studio. I record radio commercials, so the phantom powered front mic jacks for my voice over microphone are perfect. I also needed the additional line in jacks on the back panel in order to route analog audio from my computer back into my digital audio workstation - this unit fits my needs to a tee! The fact that setup and sync were as easy as 1-2-3 is just the cherry on top! Very happy to have made the move to Focusrite!

    Works great except for some interference from LAN connection-My PC Specific

    Works Fairly Good Most of the time. It is a very nice device with nice features but unfortunately it is made in china. When I first attached it there was a problem with interference and it would quit working altogether whenever my LAN internet connection was used heavily. However after unplugging the internet and then reconnecting it it works for a while and then starts the buzzing or dropouts again. I think it is just a conflict in my motherboard however so it may not happen to others. I have an Asus P5KPL-SE motherboard. The only other thing I don't like is the gain on the mics is really low and I have to turn it up almost all the way to get a good signal.

    Easy recording

    As a beginner it was intimidating looking at the different types of interfaces. I picked the Safire based on reviews and am very pleased. Easy to use with enough options that I can grow into it and not have to upgrade for a while.

    Great Interface

    Had some other M-Audio interfaces and never had much luck with these units. Always got pops and clicks no matter what kind of computer I used. The Focusrite Interface is the best I have ever used so far. Extremely clean sound, no pops or clicks while recording. Seems stable and I like the multiple ins and outs. Connects through firewire so maybe this is why it seems more stable than the usb interface I had. Overall sounds great and definitely worth the price paid!!

    Great Interface

    Bought it as i needed an interface for guitar recording. This unit is a firewire device which means less cpu eating than a usb one. Mic pre-amps are just awesome. The interface is made of metal and the knobs is not too loose or too tight, just perfect. Some people said it needed Texas instrument or VIA chipset to work properly, but i have a firewire card (other than TI or VIA chipset) which is working nicely. I'm using XP SP3.
