The instalation was simple. It is easy to operate( a must for my 80 year old mother). The sound fills the small area she watches TV from(about 12 feet by 12 feet). It is better than I had hoped for a $200 speaker. The difference between the flat screens speaker and this one is like the difference between a transistor radio and a small stereo system. Surprising amount of base, doesn't distort, and much more midrange than I had anticipated. What my mother noticed immediately is how much the sound added to the DVD's we watched, and even remarked her "regular programs are better." A good choice for anyone on a budget but wanting to significantly improve the sound of their TV in a small viewing area.The instalation was simple. Good "Bang for the Buck"
Good sound and fairly well designed for a TV that is not wall-mounted. The up-curved bottom allows it to be placed closer to the TV while avoiding the TV's "feet". The power turns on when a signal is received, and has an auto-off when it loses the audio signal. The sound level is not extremely high, but good enough for regular movies, sports and general TV and lack of sub is not too evident. The only oddity, which is with most TV manufacturers (not the speaker itself) is that the IR receivers on most TV is bottom center, so the speaker can block the TVs IR receiver.Good sound and fairly well designed for a TV that is not wall-mounted.
