Well...I am having difficulty finding the correct proprietary SONY battery which I know was not included with the purchase thus it's "untested" status. However, the unit is in like new condition, very clean, and the unit does power up with the batteries I bought which are supposed to replace the original battery, does show a menu on screen but then shows a battery error message and then powers off. I'm determined to get this to work at this price point and overall condition of the unit.

Colors are very accurate, the auto focusing systems works well and the white balance has been accurate in most every lighting situation. I found the large 3.5" Color Screen very useful when framing subjects for videos and stills and the playback quality (brightness, color and sharpness) is excellent. All of the controls and switches feel solid and are for the most part logically placed and easy to reach with normal sized hands and fingers. Sony has invested heavily in developing some of the very best professional digital camcorders and a lot of that technology has trickled down into their consumer models.
