Item is designed for work environment. So the assembly process is more complex than a home use product. It's also more versatile. You could clamp it to a pipe, or hang it under a car or have it sit on the floor. I'm very mechanical and I had to look at the parts and give it a think . could be more adjustable
Fan was small light weight and powerfull. however the fan was noisey and I couldn't get it to aim high enough on the tripod base to blow near my head when sitting down on a chair. OK but not great
I guess the glowing reviews on this are due to it being well built? Not sure. It moves air at high speeds fairly well. It's very loud. It doesn't auto rotate which I thought all fans did? The clamp mechanism seems poorly built - I wanted to clamp it to a 2x4 on my garage ceiling but darn that seemed like it wouldn't hold for very long and would come crashing onto my car. The Engineering that went into this design is Perfect! So many option and mobility to play with. Alittle smaller in diameter then other Vornado fans, however it makes up with in speed... 2600rpm's is a lot faster then any other model I have seen.
