When I checked the red and white wires they were fine but were mounted inversely on the one-way plastic connector that plugs into the logic board. When I removed the wires from the clip and reattached them in the inverse as recieved, the item worked magnificently. It is always a good idea to check for the grounds and power on the laptop and the batter to avert this. No big issue for me.
