I was very happy to find no calibration of the torque sensor was necessary for the electric steering to work. I had previously wasted $800 at the GM dealer to have them fail at the repair. Swapping the lower column took under 1.5hrs and was completely plug and play. This is the way to go if your Pontiac G6 or Malibu steering is twitching and throwing codes.
