    Quieter than Holley Red

    Had Holley Red, too noisy! Replaced with Mr Gasket fuel pump. Still too noisy. Sounded like big bee in trunk of car. Replaced with this and except at first turning on of switch (you hear a pumping sound) then silence. Delivers about 7 1/2 lbs to carb although it says 10-14 PSI. Have regulator but probably can remove.

    Excellent system pressurizing pump

    I purchased this pump to augment the Holley mechanical pump (p/n 12-833) on my small block Ford. Living in southern Arizona with the heat my 1970 Ranchero GT was plagued with vapor lock issues. This pump now supplies pressurized fuel to the engine pump and my issues have disappeared. First turn of the key powers pump on and once I hear the pressure and see it on my direct reading gauge I get a fast positive engine start....idling in 100+ weather in city traffic is no longer a worry as my fuel pressure never falls below operating pressure. Makes my daily driver much more reliable.

    Best of the Low Pressure Fuel pumps

    Holley 12-428 is a good electric fuel pump as it has ample pressure compared to its other less pressure pumps which haven't done as well.
