    Software beware

    The product worked out of the box. At that moment, it gets 5 stars. It's great. Plans require live workout access even though I am happy to use it asynchronously. But Echelon is clear and you get what you pay for. THe touch screen is a must have. However, on day 2, the device said there was a firmware update available. It required significant iterations to find a work around for a failed normal update. The work around involved downloading an image file, transferring it to a USB and booting from the USB. That finally worked. However, the new firmware fails to log on to my home Wi-Fi, which the device did prior to the firmware update. Without a Wi-Fi connection, its just a bad mirror. No functionality at all. So... Echelon has a software problem. I had to upload (70MB) movies, screen ...
