The 2003 series of TMNT was one of the best written and animated of all TMNT series so far, and this season was no exception. This season introduced a new supernatural Shredder, possibly the most powerful and imposing enemy the turtles would ever face. It also featured important turning points in the character arcs for both Baxter Stockman and Karai. As the last season before the series turned more light-hearted with "Fast Forward", it in many ways feels like the climax of the series. The DVD collection contains the entire story arc, and I highly recommend it to any fans of the 2003 version of the Turtles. (However, as tightly tied to previous arcs as it is, newcomers might be better off starting with season one!)

The Ninja Tribunal, or "lost episodes" as they're often referred to, is a great mini series about discovering the real shredder. Overall, the episodes are good - well animated (unlike the fast forward series), good action, etc. The only problem I had with this series is that it begins to feel very much like an anime series midway through the episodes. Dragons, magic, and so on become very prevalent. I won't spoil the mini series for you, but be aware some very strange 'transformations' are going to take place in these episodes.
This, the "lost" 5th season, is hands down the best season of TMNT 2k3 so far. The animation is superb. If you haven't got it yet, get it. If you aren't familiar with the 2k3 series, you should really watch all 4 seasons through first to get the most out of Ninja Tribunal, since continuity is important, unlike in the old 'toon. Buuuuut, this is so amazing that even someone who was new to the series could jump in and enjoy it, there are that many "WOW!" moments. Although it did recently air on 4Kids (FINALLY!), I avoided watching and I'm glad I did. I stormed through both discs in two nights, I couldn't imagine having to wait through commercials, with a week between episodes! If this is the only TMNT DVD you buy this year you'll be doing well.
Awsome. Great quality
