BEFORE THE MUSICAL..............
This marvelous cd is taken off the original soundtrack lp issued back in 1968. There were no vcr's, dvd players or viable home recording devices yet, so this was a way of having part of the movie dialogue dubbed onto an lp so one could have at least part of the audio to listen to at home. Most of the good stuff is included, and the digital quality is excellent-far better than in the film itself. Listen as the two original masters of this show, the unforgettable Zero Mostel and the Oscar nominated Gene Wilder spin out of control as they spin their web of comedy intrigue and larceny. It is some of the funniest material you will ever hear. It does help to enjoy the show if you are in show business, are Jewish or are gay-but, like so many other classics, it is universal in its appeal. The lp ...
