    All good so far....

This is a great lens. I had a tamron 17-50mm 2.8 lens, and I liked it, but some some reason, when focusing through the optical finder of my pentax k3, it could be a tiny bit fuzzy, even when I tried every setting in af fine adjustment. Only when it auto focused in live view would I get the sharpness I looked for. So I took a chance on this lens, and it has really pleased me with the results of this lens. It focuses silently and very accurately, in either the viewfinder focusing or live view. A great lens so far?

  • A great learning lens

These older "prime lenses" are pretty cheap used and work fine on new Pentax DSLR cameras. They offer the professional look of a shallow depth of field, attractive bokeh, and the clarity that a simpler lens offers over the zoom stuff. In addition to that - it captures more light thanks to a f2.0. That means more detail and less noise in lower light. it's my first prime lens but it's easy to use. Just set your f stop and focus manually. The results are instantaneous, rewarding and build confidence.

  • Clear, Crisp and Sharp!

A very high quality lens. So far, I had no issues with it. I take a lot of nature type of photos with a Pentax K5 and also use a telephoto lens for those long shots. I would highly recommend this type of wide angle lens to anyone who are in photography.

  • Great lens, but costly.

I needed a weather-resistant wide-angle for my K-5, and certainly got it. It features a fast, quiet autofocus, and takes sharp, well-coloured images. On the downside, it's pretty heavy, and a little hard on the pocketbook. I bought it because I needed the weather sealing, but if that's not an issue to you, a third-party lens might serve you just as well, for a fraction of the coin.

  • Perfect Small Tele Lens

Super Lens, great for all my general photographic needs. Weather proof, sharp and fast.
