Although the packing wasn't the greatest, the item did arrive quickly (didn't have to travel very far) and was found in solid, excellent condition as described. IIRC it was a flat rate padded envelope so maybe they tried to make up a little for having accepted my lower than the Buy-It-Now offer. I suspect most of the brass trains he/she is selling are in fine condition but I'd recommend communication ahead of time on shipping/packing expectations considering the value of some of these models.
