    Extremely high quality, and great value for the money!

    I was extremely impressed with the packing, and all the items added to this, cables, user guide, remote w batteries, all packaged like a brand new item. And it works like a brand new player, impressed beyond words. I bought this to replace an old JVC dvd/ vhs player, which worked ok, but the remote couldn’t eliminate the close captioning on my small video collection, which drove me nuts! Not a problem anymore, but I’ve replaced most videos w DVDs. Very pleased with this product and vendor!

    This unit does not work. The vhs plays but no sound, the dvd will not open. I was not able to use this unit to copy vhs onto a dvd of old family movies for grandchildren at Christmas.

    easy to use, easy to set up

    It works well and is of good quality. I was unaware that it didn't have a HDMI port ( which i probably would not have bought it if I knew). But since it is just replacing another unit, it's no big deal that it doesn't have HDMI. But i'm pleased with the product overall.

    Only one con when you buy it used

    I love this Sony DVD/VCR player, even when I bought it used. The only thing I find an issue with is the fact that it (or any other brand) won't play new dvds well. I always have to buy used dvd movies. Don't know why this happens, but it is the only thing I don't like. Otherwise, I am extremely happy with my purchase.
