    elm327 is a protocol and a specific device, most of the clones will do something in scanmaster. many devices implement the elm327 *protocol* but fumble the details and don't actually work if you expect to use them via the elm327 serial shell adapters that are most compatible with the elm327 *device* will show important differences in the automatic probing order & some other stuff. apps like elmscan for android can check some of them

    Sorry that despite our best efforts still can't solve your problem. For the item, it belongs to an open protocol, there is no such thing as a real or fake product, every factory can do it. So it is possible incompatible some special devices. Thank you for your feedback, we will be a more professional seller in the future.

    Had difficuties to install the drivers from the CD. Unable to find the right one that works with scanner. Contacted the seller's "technician " who has no idea either and couldn't tell me which one in the CD would work for Win7 and just gave me anther set of drivers to try. I would like to suggest that the seller should have tested first before selling, not just dumping 20 + drivers for buyers to try. if you are tech savy and have spare time, you might want to take the chance.
