Dance Dance Revolution Konamix is the second title in Konami's popular series of bemani games to arrive in the U.S. With the aid of a dance mat peripheral, players are required to step on the corresponding directional arrow when its onscreen counterpart reaches the top of the screen. The speed and frequency of the arrows increases with the difficulty level and varies from song to song. Additions to the series include an improved interface, new modes of play, and a host of new songs. New modes include Edit mode, Nonstop Order, and Double-Pad mode, along with Solo and Workout modes.<br><br>The Edit mode allows players to customize dance steps for every available song and facilitates the development of player-specific routines and the trading of dance patterns with friends. Solo mode ups the ante from four to six directional buttons (adding "up-left" and "up-right" to the four cardinal points), while the Workout mode keeps track of the number of calories burned while playing the game. The Nonstop Order mode allows players to dance to a play list of their own selected song choices, with little time in between songs to catch one's breath. Training and Lesson modes ease newcomers into the game with helpful hints and guidelines.<br><br>A full 52 song track listing (36 of which are new to the U.S. incarnations) is featured during gameplay. Songs include "Afronova Primeval" by 8bit and "Make a Jam!" by U1.

If I want a used one, I'll just go to local owners to find a much cheaper one. Not much to complain about the shipping though. Not the fastest, but still OK. I bought this game for my mom. One day my mom, my brother, and I were at a local arcade shooting some pool when we decided to try out this cool looking game, DDR Extreme 2. We were instant addicts. I had to go to Wal-Mart and purchase the newly released DDR Supernova for the PS2. My mom was jealous and bought a plug and play one. She was disappointed with this version. So for Mother's Day, I decided to give her my old PS1 and purchase her a DDR for it. When I recieved the game, I had to test it out. The game is fun but seems to be for more advanced players. I did not try out everything on the game just played a few rounds. I think when she gets it she will enjoy it. I only have my doubts about it simply because I have the newest most updated DDR out, and know it's true ... I bought this game for my mom. I've been looking for years trying to find this tittle! One of the Best and Rarest ps1 DDR game that was ever made. The game has great songs and compared to the new ones right now that has random songs some U.S. songs that shouldn't be there I think having Brittany Spears just slaving has no place in DDR... DDR was made for techno and should stay true to that. This is a must have for any hardcore DDR fan out there. It's got a whole bunch of great Konami originals (thus the name of the game), along with some songs not seen in previous arcade versions. The menus and whatnot are from the Japanese version of 4th mix, which gives it more of an arcade feel. Overall I am very satisfied with this game, and I have no complaints. Now if I could just find an arcade machine with a memory card slot...This is a must have for any hardcore DDR fan out there. It's got a whole bunch of great Konami originals (thus the name of the game), along with some songs not seen in previous arcade versions.
