    Good Item - works as described!

    I can't say I recommend it or not. I also don't know if it's a good value. It is, however, of good quality. I haven't had much luck locating the metal cover to an underground indoor dry well. I am going to ask a friend to use it to search for me. If it is found at that time, I will update my rating to 5 stars! This is an update to my earlier review. The metal scanner works as described. Often, it is "user error" which is the reason for blaming the product not working.

    Best way to find wood studs buried by insulated board and sheet rock.

    My house outside walls have 3/4" insulation board behind the sheet rock. It finds the screws holding the sheet rock, making finding the wood studs much easier. Neither of the 2 stud finders would reliably find the studs.

    Great for finding studs on plaster walls.
