    Should have won Oscar

    This was a movie that was realistically based on true story, This movie was made on a smaller budget but the solid performance of Andrew Garfield blew me away. Mel Gibson did a fabulous job with the accuracy in script, if anything it is actually underrated on report of what occurred on the Ridge as the modesty of Desmond Doss prevented recording actual number of lives saved.

    Exciting, Loud, War Action That Is True To Life

    This is a standout, WW2, war movie in every way. True story, selfless hero, and spectacular war action. It is as good as any and way better than most efforts in this genre. I recommend this one. It is truly exciting, loud, and inspiring.

    An Inspirational War Movie

    While in some ways it is a hard movie to watch (lots of graphic killing and injuries), this is not a typical war movie. It is a movie about relationships and staying true to oneself. The hero of the movie is truly a hero without firing a shot. His path was not an easy one, but how he managed to stay on his path is truly inspirational. The acting all around is top notch. And as a bonus, it is based on a true story. Highly recommend this movie!

    Hacksaw Ridge...the best war movie ever!

    My husband and I really enjoyed Hacksaw Ridge, the true story of Desmond Doss, a conscientious objector who won the Medal of Honor for saving many lives in battle. It is a great movie for Christians to watch, with very little bad language. I would caution parents, though, not to let children under the age of 12-13 watch it due to bloody violence.

    The Best

    This is the story of a real man. His is a story of a real hero from WWII, who with his belief in a higher power, was able to save the lives of count less human beings. He is the only conscientious objector to win the medal of honor. He was a simple man with high and great aspirations. The actors and acting were superb, they made the story real and believable. A real thumbs up!
