Great classic game!
This product plays great on Sega emulators and original genesis. Will not work on at games Sega HD. This is the only game I have that doesn’t work on that system. It works great on my Sega emulator just like back in the day.

This game rocks!
First off, this game is for players of all levels. You can jump in and start having fun from moment one, but for the avid gamer there is enough technical play to keep you coming back for more. The only drawback is that the game seems to favor the loser to keep the score close. Not a big deal, but when your opponent ties it up with a buzzer-beating, under-hand, full court shot, it can really chap your hide ;) I bought this game for a classic video game tournament that I participate in with my old high school football team, organized by our coach. We also play Tecmo Super Bowl and NHLPA Hockey '93. With 6 players this year and a round-robin structure, it was 9 hours of continuous game play... my poor thumb!First off, this game is for players of all levels. A timeless classic.
I recently dug up my old Sega Genesis and half my games were missing.(during my move I suppose) This was one game I knew I had to get. It is still challenging after all these years. I love the expanded roster feature that unlocks after beating all 27 teams. I love the challenge of beating a team on extra hard and computer assistance turned on. I also enjoy playing with the secret characters, Some of them can really torch up the opposition. I just wish players like Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, And Micheal Jordan, Were in the game, That to me is the games only flaw. I grew up in the 90's and NBA Jam was and still is a classic. It holds up as a game you can bring out around your friends and have a great time with to this day.

Controls are tight, the music is great, the rosters are terrific (especially great for young people who weren't born when these stars were playing), the action is never-ending and you don't even need to be an NBA fan to enjoy the excitement....Should be in everyone's Sega Genesis collection!
