    Horse has Stopped Losing Shoes

    My horse used to lose shoes constantly but, since using Keratex, he hasn't lost a single shoe. That said, I'm also keeping him in oversized bell boots 24/7 to keep him from stepping on his front shoes with his back feet. So I can't be certain that Keratex is 100% responsible for the reduction in lost shoes. But I believe that Keratex is helping. While it's expensive, there are good deals to be found and it's less expensive than having to pay to have shoes reset frequently. A tip for applying Keratex: I have found that a cap full is the perfect amount to apply to all 4 feet. Dispensing the product from a cap also prevents dirt from getting in the bottle and from tipping the bottle over and losing the entire bottle. Using a cap per application yields about 25 applications.

    Worked!

    I knew a horseman that used to use this stuff, so I decided to try it when my horse’s hooves were feeling soft and kept chipping and I was getting stressed about her care. I couple weeks later, they’re nice and hard and look great. I’m super satisfied!

    Farrier recommended!

    This is the first time I have used Keratex but my farrier recommended it as the best. My trusty stead had developed a flaking hoof problem due to wet weather. I am using Keratex according to the directions and hope I will have good news to share the next time the farrier checks feet.

    Worked well for my horse when nothing else worked

    Keratex Hoof Hardener is the only thing that worked for my horse during the humid summer months when the dew sometimes didn't dry up until 2 in the afternoon. He would get foot sore and hardly able to walk across our rocky ground. I started noticing good results after about 3 weeks.

    Consistent use makes a difference

    I have been using this since September. My farrier says that the hooves are rock hard now. I use it at least 5 times a week after being stalled at night when the hoof is the driest.
