I only gave it three stars because the one i ordered did not work and i sent it back and ordered another one that works perfect. The Schumacher BT-100 That I ordered off ebay did not work at all. I sent it back and received a complete refund. I have nothing bad to say about the Schumacher battery tester. I have used and bought many other things made by that company to include battery chargers and test equipment and they all work perfect; some more than 30 years. One bad tester does not make them all bad. I ordered another one and it works just fine.I only gave it three stars because the one i ordered did not work and i sent it back and ordered another one that works perfect. Perfect for what I wanted it for...
Works exactly as advertised! Needed to test my 6 year old battery and it let me know it was time to replace it. The high dollar battery tester used at the place I bought my new battery showed the exact same result as this one did.

Simple but effective!
This battery load tester is simple, effective and cheap insurance that you will not get "surprised" by a failed battery. It requires no batteries, so it will not corrode during prolonged periods of non-use. The analog display is in vivid, contrasting color so there is no way you can be confused by the readings. It also allows you to check your vehicle's charging system as well as battery condition. This is good insurance for one of the most important components of your vehicle! The price of one "service call", because you got stranded by a "bad" battery, is expensive enough to buy many of these battery load testers - plus I don't want my wife or daughter stranded, helpless on a dark night in a desolate location because I had no idea there was a loomng battery failure!This battery load tester is simple, effective and cheap insurance that you will not get "surprised" by a failed battery. It works
I have only used it twice so far, but it definitely works! I like that it has instructions printed right on the unit for the basic tests you can perform with it like the starter test is probably not knowledge a weekend mechanic is going to remember the chart for a once every 3 year test but It is handy It has a quick reference. The cables aren't as soft/ flexible as an OTC and the body is a little less ergonomic but It is definitely more than enough tool for the weekend mechanic without spending the big $ on an OTC, Snap on ectI have only used it twice so far, but it definitely works!
