    The title Roots tells how it all began in Africa, how those people they became slaves. Great title

    I watched this movie when it came out on tv, which was very a good movie series, only I missed a couple of series then. Now when I watched this somehow missed several episodes. Will have to watch this again and make sure watch everything.

    So Much Better than the Remake

    This original series is so much better than the terrible new version that was presented on the History Channel in 2016. This one gives honor and respect to Alex Haley, who was one of the really fine and important writers of the 20th century. Why they thought they had to change so much of Haley's work in this new version is beyond my understanding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
