Another great eBay experience with a great seller who generously accepted my offer on a nice sealed model kit that's no longer manufactured. Sweet deal on a sweet kit. Honest description and quick to answer back. Fast shipment and secured packaging. I would recommend and would buy from again. 5-⭐ seller. BTW the kit arrived ahead of the predetermined date.

  • Semi-wide angle, large aperature, good build quality for a great price!

The Sony 28mm f2.8 is hands down the best "walk around" lens for beginner photographers using Sony Alpha cameras. The kit lens is a piece of junk so please, dish out around $200 and get this prime. The wide angle is great for landscapes, portraits, or just about any occasion. The lens is relatively fast allowing indoor pictures without flash and catching moving subjects. The build quality comes from the previous Minolta line and is top-notch. The mount is rock solid and the feel is well-balanced. Sony's new 35mm and 85mm have a cheap feel, and all plastic build. As mentioned in other review's this lens isn't as sharp as its more expensive counterparts but it fairs fine for the average photographer.

  • sony's wide angle 28 mm lens for good

With all respect to bigger brothers of SAL F28 /F/2.8 ,- this eye has undoubltly the best money/q rate in my opinion. lightweight, laconic, strong character inborn from SONY, - thats it-28/F/28. A little bit wider angle expecting, but really without noticeable distortions,- thats what i needed when bought this lens for my old A100 from SONY's ALPHA serie. You can adjust focus by hand, You can choose almost any scene- and it will do its best; Whatever you are trying to shoot,- nature scene or fire acrobats show at darkest night, everything will be preciselly illustrated in your snaps. What minus? Mh...its not a good portrait lens ;) But it worth its money.

  • Awesome lens

The 28mm lens on my A500 is a good walking around lens. I like primes because of the clarity and it's actually easier not futzing around with zooming.
